Desde el tiempo de nuestras abuelas se han utilizado aguas medicinales para los malestares más comunes de niños y adultos. Para personas mayores, se hierven las hojas de las hierbas en agua de 5 a 10 minutos, se vacía en un tazón y se le agrega azúcar. Cuando el enfermo es niño o bebe se ponen las hojas de hierba en una taza con una cucharadita de azúcar y agua hervida, se tapa hasta que esté tibia para dárselas a tomar.
